January 23rd - This was a very patriotic week for so many reasons, but the Columbus Blue Jackets propelled my pride beyond words. They did a tribute to Vets before the game on Thursday, and honored my Dad. The only bummer was that they are only allowing a few thousand people into the arena right now.

My Dad is 93, soon to be 94 in 6 weeks, and is one of the sharpest, healthiest persons I know! My family is very fortunate.

This was our last week in Georgia, and we are now starting our venture west. This means we have finished the research phase in the South East. We have pretty much concluded that Reynolds will be the spot.

The things we really like about Reynolds: 6 golf courses, tons of other activities, well appointed club houses/restaurants/bars - and most within the community gates; only two hour drive from ATL and ATL direct flight from SLC; located close to grocery stores, vets, pharmacies, salons, medical facilities, etc; coincidently have friends looking to build there as well.

The next step will be to rent a place there for a month to get immersed and fully experience the community. We will try to do that later this spring - unless something in Southern Utah compels us to choose the desert as our golfing destination...

Jerry was out and about a lot this week leaving Johnny to hang with me. Despite those short little legs he's a climber. The minute Jerry leaves he is onto the chair and then the table. He has deleted emails, put me on mute during a call, and spilled water all over my lap. Nonetheless I love his "help" and looking at that cute face all day.

I have shared work spaces with worse. (Here's looking at you Daphne Glover and Beth Buckley - KIDDING! Those were some of the best times ever.) ☺️
