April 2nd - We left the rig in southern Utah and spent the majority of March in the mountains.

We started the trip with a debrief back on Butch Cassidy Court. So great to be back on the street and hanging with our neighbors, but a little weird at the same time - realizing we seriously do not own that house anymore.

Unfortunately we didn't get many pics, but we had a great ski weekend in Park City.
From Utah we headed to Colorado. We had to leave a few days early in order to beat the blizzard, which we did, and spent several days hunkered down at my cousin Gretchen's place in Denver.

This was my view from the couch the entire weekend.
Gretch has a bit of a sports bar thing going on at her condo, so this was our Sunday.
Snow, a real wood-burning fireplace, golf and the Buckeyes. If that would have been football instead of bball I would say it was most certainly a glimpse into one of my rooms in heaven.

We left Johnny with Gretchen for a few days and went up to Beaver Creek to ski with our nephew and his family - Clay, Suzanne, and Allie - who were in from Nashville.

The resorts did a great job with COVID protocol. At one point Jerry and I got separated in the lift line, so we ended up riding solo. Yes, I had that Jason Derula song in my head the rest of the day.

We did an in-house fondue night, which was a really fun experience. It was a little pricey, but worth it. No Henry Sigg - it was not even close to your fondue!!!

Of course it wouldn't be a family gathering without a little Fireball. How did I end up with the only shot glass in the condo?

From there we moved to a house in Summit County near Keystone and Breckenridge. We were reunited with Johnny, Gretchen and her dog Turtle - and a bonus appearance for a few days by my other cousin Ally! We had a great day at Breck on that Sunday.

Later that day our really good friends, the Zulanas family from Chicago, came in to join us for the rest of the week.
I was not able to ski at all during the week, b/c I am so busy with work, but Johnny and I had a great space to hangout in all day while everyone was out on the slopes at Keystone, Breck and Vail.

By the end of this trip Turtle was over his annoying younger cousin.
We are now back in Southern Utah, and look what I brought back from Denver with me - Needle! Thank you Gretchen for keeping her safe and sound (well...not the key fob, lol) and letting us borrow your garage the last six months while out on this adventure.

The next post will most likely have some pretty exciting updates, so stay tuned!
Say-see-dah!!
