February 13th - This was a great week in Arizona. There was a lot of outdoor activity and unexpected time with friends. It felt like we were really close to....home.

Our friend Chris, his Dad, and Uncle were skiing in Flagstaff, so they came down to the rig to watch the Superbowl.

On Monday night we went down to Phoenix and met some friends for dinner at a really great place called the Thirsty Lion. Big Bill lives here, and I have not seen him in almost 10 years. Our really good friend J9 lives in Chicago, but lucky for us she happened to be in town!

On Tuesday and Thursday Jerry went up to Flagstaff and joined Chris and his family for some skiing.

On Wednesday we went up to Sedona for a late afternoon hike and a really good dinner at a cute little place called The Corner Table.

We had never really spent any time in Northern Arizona and found some unexpected interest in the area. So on Friday we drove over to check out Prescott. Great town that looks like it would be a lot of fun for a weekend. Lots of cool restaurants and bars, but the area around it is not really somewhere we see ourselves living.

Friday night we went back down towards Phoenix to meet Elizabeth - another one of my best friends, who just happened to be in town from LA. We ate at Local Jonnys in Cave Creek, and finally met her beau and cute little pup, Wolfy. We totally forgot to take a pic so I am including one of my favorite photos of us from her annual ski trip to Park City last year. #slicksticks
