February 7th - We continued our trip West this week. We stayed in Oklahoma on Saturday night then spent the week in Amarillo, TX right off of Route 66 very near Cadillac Ranch.

The place we stayed had their own version - apparently when in Rome...

There is not a lot out there on that stretch in Texas except tumbleweeds, but I have to admit there is something mesmerizing about a turbine farm.

Look what Jerry finally did this week - got gas with the rig attached to the truck! And not only did he do it once but TWICE that same day.

For those of you who know how much he dreaded this you know what an accomplishment it was.

And for those of you who didn't know...up to this point we have only driven a few hundred miles a day, so he didn't have to stop and get gas. Once we got to our spot and disconnect he would take the truck to gas up - which is crazy because I have seen him get this thing into the tightest of spaces and pretty much parallel park it - but he was super freaked out about gas stations.

No more!

Johnny is learning that he cannot climb on the table while I work, so now he just sits and stares at me from the chair. That face...

We had some decent weather down here but glad we rolled out this morning.
