January 17th - We are now in Georgia. We are at a great spot with several hiking trails leading to pretty ponds, which Johnny loves!

We have had some clear nights with a great view of this cool moon while hanging by a fire.

Although the company I work for is on a very strict no travel policy, I was deemed essential to be at a meeting this week, so I got on a plane for the first time in 11 months. It is the longest I had been grounded since I graduated from college.
Delta did a great job in keeping people separated and safe.

Since I was in a hotel Monday night I watched the National Championship by myself with my computer, some sushi, and a beer.

Still very proud of the Buckeyes but hats off to the Crimson Tide who played a nearly flawless game. Congrats Josh and Neeley! Our niece and her husband graduated from Alabama. She was in color guard during her time there. So pretty!

We spent time over the last two weekends at Reynolds and Cuscowilla - both on Lake Oconee. We have been to both of these communities before about a year and a half ago.
Reynolds is a very large community with three thousand homes and six golf courses. Within the gates are several restaurant and bars, pools, tennis/pickle ball courts, wellness centers, a sporting ground, hiking trails, and a Ritz Carlton. This is different than The Cliffs which has seven different communities spread out over the north western part of South Carolina.
We like having all of the options so close.
Infinity pool overlooking the lake.

Private party room at the Creek Club.

All of those amenities obviously come with a price, so the fees are pretty significant - although less than The Springs.
I have never really seen moguls on a golf course, but they are all over this one - as well as a lot of undulating greens.

We really liked this lot.
The grounds are very pretty with rolling hills and massive trees all surrounded by the lake. I think I am drawn to Reynolds because parts of it remind me of Oglebay Park in Wheeling, WV - one of my favorite places. Reynolds is not a golf cart community due to its size, but it checks off a lot of boxes.
Cuscowilla is only about 10 minutes from Reynolds, but the terrain in the community is completely different. It is not as wooded and has some wide open areas with a lot of native grasses. There is only one golf course (more of a links course) and only one restaurant as well, so the prices and fees are much lower than Reynolds.
They are about to release lots in this area that has views of both the golf course and the lake, which is pretty compelling.

Doesn't this look like we trapped Johnny under the chair?

Nope! Not Johnny.

It's his mini me. ☺️

We went down to Macon yesterday and spent the night with Jerry's sister Cyndi. For those of you who know Outlaw you know how good our dinner was! We love how
much family we have been able to see on this journey. 💞
