December 12th - We are in Western North Carolina and so far have not found what we are looking for. Highlands is a darling town but too high in elevation. Lake Toxaway has a nice country club, but the homes are on densely wooded lots, which isn't something we like.

So the quest goes on.

The weather has been really nice this week, so we were able to get a good hike in to Rainbow Falls.
